Meridian at Cane Bay Pickleball Amenity


Application to Reserve Pickle Ball Court

 

Reservations may be made for private use of the Amenity Center at Meridian Lakes at Cane Bay Property Owners Association, Inc., hereto referred to as Meridian at Cane Bay. The Pickleball Court is available from 7:00 am -10:00 pm. Applications must be submitted and the DEPOSIT received prior to using the amenity center for any private function. For reservation approval, applications must be submitted at least ten (10) days prior to function.

The facility was designated for community pickleball use. Therefore, the facility will not be available for reservations on Monday -Thursday 4:00PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday/Sunday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. These times are set aside for pickleball only. Pickleball can be played at any other time, providing there is not a confirmed and approved reservation by a resident. You do not have to reserve the courts to play pickleball, it is first, come first serve play during designated pickleball times & follow the pickleball rules posted.

The Meridian at Cane Bay ‘s amenities center is for use for the residents of Meridian at Cane Bay and Meridian Townhomes ONLY, the party must be hosted and attended by a resident of Meridian at Cane Bay or Meridian Townhomes.  Events are limited to four (4) hours in duration. If needed, you can request for a 30 mins prior for set up and 30 mins after for set up and/or cleanup.

An EVENT is defined as a gathering of one or more residents, with more than two guests per resident in attendance.

THE RESIDENT REQUESTING THE RESERVATION MUST HAVE AN ACCOUNT GOOD STANDING WITH THE HOA ASSESSMENTS AND HAVE NO OUTSTANDING VIOLATIONS

  1. All homeowners will be required to fill out the reservation application and complete it along with a $50 RENTAL FEE + $200 DEPOSIT that will be deposited in the Meridian’s Operating Account. The homeowner will be billed for any damage or additional clean up charges that may occur. The homeowner acknowledges that the facilities are subject to 24/7 video surveillance.

** REQUIREMENTS for application submission **

a.  $50 Fee + $200 Deposit 

b. If ALCOHOL will be present on the property, the renter MUST submit EVENT INSURANCE with a copy of the COI “Certificate of Insurance” provided to First Residential 48 hours prior to the event.

c. This includes alcohol that guests may bring (BYOB). It is expected that the host of the event will decide and enforce whether or not alcohol will be a part of the event. It is not acceptable for a host to allow a guest to bring alcohol to a no-alcohol event.

i. If Alcohol is present at an event and the COI is not provided, the homeowner will forfeit their deposit and will be banned for future reservations for a period of 1 year.

2. The application and fee must be submitted to the Association office 10 days prior to the reservation date, along with ALL the required documents including an applicable COI. This is required for and before being secured on the community calendar under the homeowner or renter’s name. (In the event that there are not sufficient funds of the check, the resident’s HOA account will be assessed the amount of the check plus a $30 fee).

3. Repetitive gatherings, e.g. religious services, vendor goods and services, or any other repeat gathering that is more frequent than once per year, must be pre-approved by the Board. Generally, repeat events are not permitted.

4. Homeowners Association dues must be current (not past due) and any outstanding violation fines paid to reserve the amenities center for private use.

The following rules shall apply to all reservations:

  1. If the facility doesn’t meet the cleanup requirements, the minimum clean up fee is $100 and fees may exceed the deposit amount. Residents who do not comply with cleanup guidelines will lose the ability to reserve the space in the future.

    a. Acceptable cleanup includes, but is not limited to:

    i. Removal of all trash from the property.

    ii. All personal property (decorations, tables, chairs, etc.) is removed from the property

    iii. Tape, adhesives, and/or anything used on the windows or walls are removed.

    iv. All event trash is removed from the property, this includes the pickleball court (e.g. glitter, streamers, food, or any other trash).

    v. The amenity trash bins are not to be used for event trash. Violations of this rule will result in a fine and loss of future privileges.

  2. All guests must vacate the space at the end of an event. Meridian residents are expected to ask their guests to leave the space timely after the event. Any event and related clean up must be completed prior to 10 PM.
  1. Reservations are not permitted on holidays or Holiday weekends (including Friday’s or Monday’s, as designated by the Board).
  2. The community pool and playground will be open to the community regardless of reservation. These areas are NOT included in the reservation.
  3. ALL RESIDENTS UNDERSTAND THAT POOL EVENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED. SEE POOL RULES (Two guests allowed per household, maximum).
  4. Adult (18 years or older) supervision at an event is always required for all children under the age of 18 years of age.
  5. No person under the age of 18 years of age will be allowed to reserve the amenity center.
  6. Failure to submit a reservation for an event may be subject to fines & deactivation of your KEY FOB for ALL amenities, including the pool, for all parties involved for a minimum 6 months.
  7. All persons, including residents, and event hosts must vacate the premises no later than 10:00pm. Trash must be taken off site NOT DISPOSED OF IN THE BINS LOCATED AT THE FACILITY.
  8. The resident reserving the facility MUST be onsite during the entire event, including set up and clean up times. If it has been determined that a resident has sub-leased the facility or allowing a non-resident of The Meridian or Meridian Townhomes the use of the building or facility, the resident will no longer have the privilege to reserve the facility. Sub-leasing is strictly prohibited.
  9. The resident will not permit unaccompanied minors (under the age of 18 years old) the use of the facility during an approved reservation without adult supervision.
  10. All Trash will be taken offsite and disposed of by the resident. The Trash receptacles at the Amenity Center will not be used for private events.
  11. No reservation will be permitted prior to 11:00 AM nor reservations that start after 5:30 PM.
  12. All county and HOA noise ordinances will be adhered to during a reserved private event. 
  13. Do NOT attempt to take down or reinstall the pickleball net.

i. The HOA Board has approved certain individuals that will take down the net 30 mins prior & 30 mins after your event.

ii. If, for any reason, the net is installed at your event, please reach out to one of the HOA board members ASAP. (via FB Messenger, phone call or email).

iii. If you damage the net, posts, or any other part of the net, replacement cost will be deducted from your deposit + any other damage cost.

ALL TRASH MUST BE REMOVED AND TAKEN WITH YOU FOR DISPOSAL.  DUMPSTERS AND

ASSOCIATION TRASH CANS MUST NOT BE USED FOR TRASH DISPOSAL.

 

 By completing the form below, the resident acknowledges and agrees to all rules and regulations in the attached.  The resident accepts that all violations of the attached rules and regulations could result in fees which could be greater than the deposit amount.  In the event that a fee is greater than the deposit amount, the homeowner’s account will be charged.
